I'm so happy that this semester is almost over. I've become very anxious waiting for it to end. I'm skipping my Spanish class today, just really don't feel like showing up to my classes anymore. Holy crap is it windy today! It blew over two of my rabbit hutches this morning. Rabbits were all over my backyard. Luckily, the barn cats and my dogs didn't notice or they'd all be dead.
I'm glad that English class is coming towards an end. I'm sick of writing a paper once a week. I still don't have an idea what to write paper #4 on and I have yet to start my creative project paper thing. I'm sure it will all come to me a week before it's due. That seems to always happen for me. I am one of the biggest procrastinators, but seems like I always tend to do well with everything I am handed.

Stuff
Hopefully I will start my Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde paper tomorrow and work on my Independent/ creative paper. I haven't even started on that yet. I've been having a lot of stomach issues and have been at the doctors a lot. He told me that he believes it's all caused by stress and that I need to take it easy for a while. Soo, my boyfriend of three and a half years thought it would be a good time to turn into a complete a** and I broke up with him. We're back together now though, we're both going to work on our problems and all that crap. He blames his B**** A** attitude on me being stressed and in turn caused him to be a grouch. Excuses excuses. But anyway, back to the papers. I'm not entirely sure which choice I want to do paper number three on. I'm leaning more towards option five: Comparing Jekyll and Hyde to a modern day situation or to another work of literature. Seems pretty interesting to do, just not sure if I'll make six pages from it.

Small Paper #3
I am finally about to start my small paper, I'm thinking about doing it on A Modest Proposal. I actually enjoy this kind of satire. Every week I have normally two papers to write, so I tend to procrastinate on writing my English papers. For procrastinating I don't do to bad. I've had one 93% and the rest have been 98's. I have about 22 more pages to read of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde so I'm feeling accomplished :D considering I normally read the book the day before the essays due on that book.
In other news, I'm excited! I'll be taking Winter semester off at U of M to stay down in Florida. My parents are buying a vacation home down there and want me to occupy it for three months. This semester just needs to end!

Transfering
I have been thinking a lot about how much I can’t wait to get out of Mott. I have to take two more classes at Mott in the spring and I’ll be done with my Associates of Arts degree! I am really excited to be done with this college. After class Friday I went to University of Michigan to apply and talk to an Adviser there. He told me that almost all of my classes transfer there for the degree that I’m going for and that I’ll be almost done with my Bachelors degree. I just can’t wait for college to be over with. Seems like this semester is dragging out for me, it’s probably from all of the homework. I’m at Mott Monday through Friday, I feel like I live here. It’s going to be nice to have a change in scenery once I transfer colleges.

Independent Project
So, for this independent/creative project deal, I have no idea what I am going to do it on. I'm normally quite creative, I guess I'll just have to think on it some more. Regarding our Frankenstein paper, I think I'm either going to do a character analysis or analyze how the setting of the story reflects what happens and what takes place in the book. It's hard for me to come up with the four to five pages that I need to write. I think it would be easier for me to do the second option, but it might be more interesting for me to do the character analysis.

Frankenstein
I'm almost done with Frankenstein and to my dismay it is actually pretty good. I was not sure if I would like it at all, but it's pretty good. I'm on chapter 20 right now, which I know I was suppose to be done already with it but what can ya do. I've been so swamped with homework lately, I have classes Monday through Friday so it seems like I am always at Mott. I'm not trying to justify why I don't have the reading done, but oh well. I'm glad that we can come up with our own blog topics for now on. To me, it is a lot easier doing that than writing about a topic I don't really care about. Now I'm just sort of rambling to make my blog longer :) I'm not in the writing mood yet, but just like the reading, I'm late on this blog too. I have to write one more and comment on four peoples blogs and I'll be done! Yay!

Song Analysis
For my song analysis I'm going to do Tools song called The Pot. I love Tool, there seems to always be deep meaning behind most of their songs. When you first listen to this song, ya might think it's about pot, getting high and being lazy because you're so stoned. After reading the lyrics a few times I realized that it's more so about hypocrisy and how some people commit atrocities and hide behind laws or positions of power. It's kind of a neat song once you read into what it's really about.

Fridays Paper
Well, I don't really know what to write about for our paper that's due Friday. I'm not much of a "history buff" I actually kind of hate learning about history. So, I'm thinking about picking the first choice. I'm leaning towards writing about Hugo Chavez and his choices that he made while taking over things in Venezuela. Now that I think about it, I'm going to write about that. I probably should kick it in gear and get going on research right now... Good luck everyone on your papers!

And The Band Played On
I feel that this movie did a great job at portraying the AIDS epidemic. It showed how they also had to deal with bureaucracy and a government that just did not seem to care. They called it a “gay” disease, even though it was found in males, females, children and hemophiliacs, some of which were straight.
What really bothers me the most was the opportunities that existed by several people to catch this disease at various stages and it just was not done. This movie really does show how the AIDS epidemic reached the stages that it did before anything was done, and how the Doctors, researchers and even the federal government and the CDC contributed as much to the development of the disease as they did to discovering it.
I was also discouraged to hear that throughout this tragedy, there were actually people who might have been more concerned with helping and protecting their own reputation and agenda, as well as accepting the credit for their work in breaking down the disease. I do not know what it will take to remove political deliberation from life and death struggles, but what we need to do is work at saving lives, and worry about who gets credit later.

Have it Your Way
I am not a real big fan of Burger King. I never really enjoyed anything they offered there and I just find the food kind of repulsive. The only thing that I can stomach from there is the Hershey Pie (Yummy!) and the whopper. Food aside, I find it pretty creepy that their mascot is The King and it has been that since 1955. He just gives me the heebie-jeebies. The fact that in the commercials they would have him peeping in somebody’s window and sleeping next to a unsuspecting victim, is all rather disturbing. I have great anxiety towards The King, even though he is fictional, he just creeps me out. My parents believe that this is funny, so for Christmas they got me a The King pillowcase so I can “wake up with The King.” They even were considering hiring someone to dress up like him and stand outside of my window just to scare me. In my opinion, the commercials with the human/whopper family isn’t as freaky as The King. I will pick the Chihuahua and oven mitt over The King any day!
